I hate amber reflectors and find Euro spec cars always look so much cleaner.

Ford Focus RS (Not the worst offender but still bothers me).

Ford Fusion/Mondeo (Also fairly minor but still better in Euro spec).

Is the average American driver so bad at driving that they need them to tell which way a car is facing?

Actually, judging by the fact that I was almost hit by 3 different drivers in a 5 minute span while walking home today, I'm going to say yes. A million times yes.

I would say that on average, us North America folks are some pretty terrible drivers and we only seem to be getting worse. Especially with all the newest technology.

I'm thinking that might be too small still and definitely not bright enough!

Now that's more like it! Exactly what the US spec will look like.

I hope that now that the Mustang is being sold in the UK, that USDM becomes a thing and people start changing the reflectors to amber.

What we really need is more amber rear turn signals. I hate red rear turn signals, especially if they're also the brake lights.

My Grand Cherokee has red rear turn signals but at the very least they're separate from the brake lights.

I agree. Amber is so a lot more visible than the red ones. The worst ones are those that have LED brake lights but red incandescent bulbs in the signals (I'm looking at you '06-10 Camry).

My '03 Yukon has amber signals front and rear with red LEDs on the side mirrors.

My moms Fusion needs these headlights with the LED. So much better than just the plain light it is right now.

I'm curious, what's the fine if you euroswap the lights or remove the amber reflectors?

This just proves how badly we need orange markers on pedestrians.

I love amber reflectors. In fact, I love it when lights look like total afterthoughts on the car, period. Too often a car leans on fancy light shapes to give it character, or to resolve a lot of bad lines at the corners of the car. Make a gorgeous car, then right before the public sees it, put some lights on it, turn signals, and reflectors.

Love me some amber lenses on the back of a car. Not amber bulbs in a clear lens, but amber lenses. That way I know right were to look to see if a car is signalling, not to mention it's an extra color in the designer's crayon box.

They're the next to go on my car (the one I pictured). I did the wheels last summer, this summer I'm moving and going to school, so money will not be available, but next year will see me changed all the amber. Can. Not. Wait. It's bothered me since I bought it.

For me break lights should be more pulsing and alerting, and the color honestly doesn't have that much of an effect in capturing attention as does brightness and strobe.

Yeah my car has Amber signal lenses and I have Amber LEDs in it so they're pretty bright.

For me it's more preference than a requirement. I just find Amber to stand out more on the back of a car. I'm getting a Jetta next week and it has the red signals on the back.

I'm liking the rims and colour of your car. The clear will suit that colour a lot nicer than Amber will to!

That 2nd pic is a much cleaner look for your car. Mercedes is one of the worst offenders for cheap reflectors from pepboys.

Yeah they really didn't give us the nice lights. We get halogen projectors while Europe has LED headlights with LED DRL/turn signal.

Don't forget they also have a panoramic roof option as well.

It works for a few cars but something like the Huayra or S65 it just bothers me to no end. I mean the Huayra is a $1.8 million car and all they could come up with was to slap on a pair of reflectors from pepboys.

These lights are so much nicer than the US Fusion. They're full LED and they have that cool feature where the DRL switches to Amber when you put on the signal.

We need headlights on in order to notice cars in the noon day sun after all. I am always so relieved when I see a Semi with his lights on at 1pm on a sunny day, because otherwise I would not have noticed, and gotten t-boned by him.

So it only becomes an insurance issue (if it's noticed) in the event of an accident?

I have a 2001 Miata—first year in which that body style has headers and variable valve timing, but also the first year it has all red and white tail light housings. I'm always browsing Craigslist to see if I can find someone parting out a 1999 car so I can get its red/orange/white tail lights.

I have removed the amber on my last 3 cars - a c63, an e92 335, and a G35x. Big improvement to all.

In my book there are 4 must dos when purchasing a new car: tint it, lower it slightly, put spacers on and de-amber. The first 3 are done in virtually every new car ad. Thats how they sell it to me, then it comes with tucked in wheels and big wheel well gaps. Those have to go.

The things I always do when getting a car is new headlight bulbs, switch all bulbs to LED and tint the windows

Nice white LED, not that crazy ass >8000 kelvin stuff that looks blue. Too many people think the bigger the number the brighter it is.

I can't stand the blue bulbs. I have a set of Silverstars in my Yukon already, nothing fancy but give off a nice bright white. I was thinking about trying Putco LED headlights/fogs for the Jetta, little more expensive but they're a bright white, 6500 kelvin I'm pretty sure.
